Leftover moisture axis from an old front will linger for a few
days over Kauai and Oahu with lower PW values to the southeast.
Showers will be more widespread over these northern islands
through the rest of the week. Heights will continue to lower into
the weekend due to troughing to the northeast of the region, but
the area will stay on the relative drier side of the upper flow
with mainly scattered windward showers amid light trades. Next
week, ensembles agree on rising heights to the NW and SE of the
50th state that eventually converge over Hawai'i during the middle
of the week, promoting a rather quiet and drier pattern with
slowly increasing trades.
