Quiet pattern expected for the Aloha state over the next seven
days. Models and ensembles indicate that the broad upper ridge
atop the region will strengthen to the northwest of the area next
week. Surface high pressure currently to the north, supporting
modest trades, will weaken as the one to the northwest becomes
dominant. Trades will slacken a bit next week before picking up
again later in the week. A band of moisture associated with a
front to the north next week may try to sink southward toward
Hawai'i next Thu/Fri, but otherwise only light windward showers
are expected through the period.
