A strong surface high, just northwest of the area initially, will
slowly transition downstream to north of the islands for the
upcoming weekend before reaching well northeast of the state next
week.  A weak upper low/TUTT cell forms near the state Monday
during an anticyclone wave breaking event which slowly retrogrades
southwest into next Thursday, which causes a weakness/inverted
trough into the pressure field, weakening the trade winds.

As a result, slightly above average precipitable water values near
the upper low will modify the trade wind sounding enough to result
in enhanced shower activity especially near Kauai Friday through
the weekend, perhaps into early next week within the western main
islands.
