Latest guidance offers similar ideas for the pattern during the
next seven days.  Between now and late week expect the surface
pressure gradient to slacken somewhat as high pressure well to the
northeast of the state weakens and drifts a little eastward.  This
will lead to some weakening of trades in coming days.  Then trades
will likely persist at moderate strength into the middle of next
week.  Rainfall should generally be in the lighter half of the
spectrum and favor windward locales, though an occasional shower
may stray to other areas.  A brief period of enhanced activity is
possible around Friday-Saturday when a pocket of relatively higher
moisture (precipitable water values of at least 1.50-1.75 inches)
drifts across the islands.  This moisture is associated with
tropical depression Greg which is forecast to continue weakening
with time.
