Ensembles still show a quiet pattern for Hawai'i over the next
several days. A strong upper high (+2.5 sigma 500mb heights) will
slowly drift northeastward, flatten, and reorient itself near
38N/137W. This will support elevated trades into early next week
but limited moisture (precipitable water values about 1-2 sigma
below average) suggests generally light/scattered windward and
mauka showers, some of which may spill over to leeward areas. A
weakness aloft will push westward past 150W by next Tuesday as
trades weaken a bit, passing through the 50th state next Wed/Thu.
