Northeast trades will pick up on Sunday and veer to easterly in a
drying pattern for Hawai'i. Post-frontal showers will diminsh by
Saturday as upper ridging just to the west of the region builds
then remains in control through next week, forcing the next trough
east of the area around 140W late Sunday into Monday along with
another one by Thursday. Again the ECMWF was on the
stronger/southwest side of the ensemble spread with the second
trough later next week while the ensemble consensus was a bit
farther east more like the 00Z Canadian.
