Continued quiet pattern for Hawai'i with strong high pressure near
38N that will sink southward/westward to about 31-32N (north of
the area) next week, supporting brisk trades through Thursday and
perhaps again for the coming weekend. With precipitable water
values near or above average, windward and some leeward showers
are expected through the week but will be on the light side with
modest instability. Late Tuesday into Wednesday an upper low is
forecast to develop just north of the area and move through the
region which may act to enhance some shower activity per a strong
model/ensemble consensus which keeps the upper high along 30N next
weekend.
