Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 730 AM EST Sun Nov 18 2018 Valid 00Z Mon Nov 19 2018 - 00Z Mon Nov 26 2018 Rain across the southern most islands of Hawaii today should subside by Monday as the cold front sinks farther south of the state and surface high pressure builds to the north. Trade winds will remain breezy and locally strong through much of the week, along with the daily chance for showers. Most showers should affect mainly windward areas, though winds look to be strong enough for leeward showers as well across the smaller islands. Models and ensembles continue to show the possibility for another cold front to approach the northern islands by next weekend, but may stay far enough to the north to cause nothing more than some windward showery activity.
