Gusty trade winds today will slowly subside ahead of a cold front
forecast to push through the state on Tuesday. The best dynamics
should stay north of Hawaii so only scattered showers are expected
associated with the front, with possible more enhanced activity
along the windward facing slopes. Northerly winds on the backside
of the front will increase again, with 20+ knots and higher gusts
into Wednesday, before veering back to the northeast and
eventually easterly towards the end of the week. Trades should
return to more typical levels by Friday and the weekend as another
high pressure slides in to the north.
