A cold front will wash out over the the area on Saturday. Weak
high pressure will slide eastward to the north of the region
Saturday as trades briefly resume ahead of another cold front that
will approach Kauai late Monday or early Tuesday. Winds will veer
to southeasterly and southerly ahead of the front as showers
increase around the western islands. Ensembles and latest
GFS/ECMWF suggest most of the rainfall will stay north of the area
as the upper trough pulls to the northeast. By the end of next
week, heights will slowly rise as the front dissipates just to the
north of the region and trades remain weak out of the
east-southeast to east.
