Models and ensembles agree to develop a pattern favoring more
enhanced activity through Monday with moisture return associated
with approach and passage of a supporting/amplified mid-upper
level trough and cold front.  Trades should modestly redevelop mid
week as a post-frontal high pressure bridges just to the north of
the state in a pattern with a drier airmass and more limited
showers over the state.  Thereafter, the flow pattern north of the
50th state becomes more zonal from Friday onward which should
weaken the trades once more as the surface high shifts eastward
into the subtropical northeast Pacific.  A slight increase in
shower activity is anticipated with the shift in the synopitc
pattern next weekend.
