Guidance agrees that surface high pressure cells bridging/settling
to the north and northeast of the state are supportive of seasonal
to breezy island trades under a mean upper level ridge this
workweek. The stable pattern offers passing rounds of enhanced
moisture and windward terrain focusing showers. Upper trough
energy will temporarily dent the upper ridge Tuesday/Wednesday,
but it seems that flow amplification by next weekend as shown in
most guidance may lead to more sustained moisture influx to fuel
potential for widespread and heavier rainfall statewide in advance
of a developing closed low aloft to the northeast of the state and
with approach of an associated/trailing cold front.
