Light to moderate trade winds are expected to persist through the
coming week and into next weekend as surface high pressure
establishes itself to the northeast of the main island chain.
There is very good agreement in the guidance that any meaningful
low pressure systems/fronts over the Pacific look to remain well
north and west of the state. This pattern would favor showers for
mainly the windward facing slopes and coastal regions of Hawaii,
while leeward areas remain mostly dry with maybe the occasional
isolated shower.
