Though there will be a very amplified Pacific upper pattern to the
north and west of the area, the Aloha state will stay relatively
quiet. Deep upper low will meander near 35N/155W due north of the
region until the end of the week when it will be reinforced to the
northwest. Weak trades to start will increase later this week into
the weekend as surface high pressure noses westward to the north
of Hawai'i. With wavering bouts of moisture passing through,
isolated to scattered windward showers are likely in a fairly
typical trade wind pattern. By next week, tropical storm Barbara
may near 150W per the ensemble guidance. This system will have to
be watched going forward.
