A very broad area of high pressure will be positioned north of
Hawaii through much of the coming week. In turn, trade winds will
increase to 15 to 25 knots by early next week as the ridge
strengthens. The GFS and ECMWF continues to show some consensus
that an easterly wave may affect Hawaii early next week, bringing
a potential increase in moisture and shower activity late Sunday
into Monday. Once the wave passes the state drier air is expected
to return.
