Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 831 AM EDT Wed Jul 24 2019 Valid 00Z Thu Jul 25 2019 - 00Z Thu Aug 01 2019 An inverted trough feature will track away from the state, which will allow the associated rainfall to taper off and the typical windward/mountain shower pattern to return across the state as moderate to brisk trades persist into early next week. Surface high pressure will become reinforced as an upstream high strengthens while moving into the region; an upper ridge will also cross the region through Thursday. A trailing upper weakness moving in from the east by Sunday-Tuesday may increase rainfall somewhat, though with precipitable water values remaining within a standard deviation of climatological values. A surface low pressure system in the easterlies will be organizing as it tracks westward and will be located approximately near 15.5N 143W by the end of the period. Campbell
