Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 826 AM EDT Fri Jul 26 2019 Valid 00Z Sat Jul 27 2019 - 00Z Sat Aug 03 2019 The weather pattern across Hawaii for the next week looks to remain relatively unchanged. A broad mid/upper level weakness over the state will keep surface high pressure anchored north of the state while a couple of surface waves pass to the south of the Islands. This will result in moderate to breezy trade winds, with some higher gusts as each wave passes. Mainly scattered to locally enhanced precipitation is expected across Hawaii, with the deeper moisture and more widespread rain remaining south. The models show good agreement on this overall pattern through most of the week. There does remain some question about the potential for deeper moisture to get pulled farther north towards Hawaii with the last wave late next week, which may lead to some higher precipitation chances for windward locations.
