Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 228 AM EST Thu Feb 06 2020 Valid 00Z Fri Feb 07 2020 - 00Z Fri Feb 14 2020 Scattered to locally heavy rainfall can be expected to progress across Hawaii from north to south through Friday as a cold front moves through. A much cooler airmass, with gusty northerly winds, will follow as the parent upper low lingers northeast of the state through the weekend. By early next week, models continue to show agreement that a second, possibly stronger, upper level low will drop towards the state early next week. Given the time range, they continue to struggle with evolution of this low and how much impact it will have on the Hawaiian islands. Because of this, unsettled conditions will linger through next week, with possibly local enhancement of rainfall along favored terrain/windward locations. Santorelli
