Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 232 AM EDT Sun Apr 12 2020 Valid 00Z Mon Apr 13 2020 - 00Z Mon Apr 20 2020 A stalled frontal boundary combined with upper level troughing will continue to bring showers and a few thunderstorms to Hawaii into the early part of next week. Locally moderate to heavy showers are possible as deeper moisture gets pulled over the islands ahead of another front passing to the north Tuesday and Wednesday. Beyond this, the forecast should dry out as the upper level system pulls away and ridging builds back east across the state. As the resulting surface high pressure builds to the north, this should allow for resumption of more typical light to moderate trade winds. There is better than average agreement that this pattern should continue through next weekend. Santorelli
