Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 201 AM EDT Tue Apr 14 2020 Valid 00Z Wed Apr 15 2020 - 00Z Wed Apr 22 2020 Unsettled weather will continue over Hawaii through Wednesday as broad troughing moves over the state and deeper moisture gets pulled northward. After Wednesday and through the weekend, models agree that the forecast should dry out as the upper level system pulls away and ridging builds back east across the state. As the resulting surface high pressure builds to the north, this should allow for resumption of more typical light to moderate trade winds. By early next week, another cold front may begin to approach the islands, which should shift the low level winds to a more south/southeasterly direction ahead of the front and bring a few showers back to at least the northernmost islands.
