Models and ensembles reasonably agree in showing that two main
mid-upper level troughs will pass along and to the north of the
state over the next week. The lead system will bring an associated
front with showers near the islands this weekend. A second system
may again affect the state through early next week before a more
stable upper ridge builds over the state for the rest of next
week. Expect most precipitation will focus over favored windward
terrain in a pattern with moderate to locally brezzy trades and
deepest moisture may focus over the western islands closer to the
fronts.
