Leftover moisture around an old boundary will support some local
enhancement to tradewind showers from north to south over the next
couple of days. Troughing to the north of the region will carry
the tail-end of a cold front into the area late Thu into Fri,
perhaps intersecting the in situ moisture band. Rainfall may be
locally modest as precipitable water values rise to perhaps near
1.50 inches over the Big Island as the weakening boundary slips a
bit farther south on Sat. A model consensus is preferred which
shows about a 1026mb high to the north of the state early Mon.
Trades will increase in response amid a typical pattern with
scattered windward showers.
