Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 236 AM EDT Sat May 16 2020 Valid 00Z Sun May 17 2020 - 00Z Sun May 24 2020 Models and ensembles continue to show good consensus that a mid/upper-level ridge should remain anchored over Hawaii and much of the Central Pacific through the next week, strengthening with time. Strong surface high pressure north of the state should maintain moderate to locally breezy trade winds over the islands through much of next week. This should transport some increased moisture into the state, mainly favoring windward and mountain locations. Heavy rainfall probabilities remain low as the upper level ridge should be located overhead during that time. Santorelli
