Models and ensembles reasonably agree in showing a pattern with
moderate to breezy island trades over the next week along with a
general windward/mountain emphasis for showers. The combination of
a mean ridge aloft and modest moisture should keep rainfall
amounts light through the weekend. As a stronger upper high
settles to the north of the islands, the deep-layered flow around
the high may bring an area of enhanced moisture (precipitable
water values 1.50 inch or greater) to the state from the northeast
to better fuel rainfall Monday-Wednesday before reverting back to
the less active shower pattern later next week.
