Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 201 AM EDT Fri Jun 12 2020 Valid 00Z Sat Jun 13 2020 - 00Z Sat Jun 20 2020 High pressure at the surface and aloft is forecast by all guidance to remain anchored north of Hawaii through the weekend and into next week, keeping breezy to locally strong trades in place, with scattered windward showers. Models continue to show a relatively weak easterly wave traversing Hawaii Friday night through the weekend, perhaps bringing some slight enhancement to shower activity as it passes. A relatively dry air mass in place (PWs ranging from 1.0-1.3 in.) should keep activity somewhat sparse, and limit the potential for any heavy rains. Any model differences noted were relatively minor, and a general model blend should suffice through next week. Ryan
