Upper ridging is forecast to nose into the region from the
northeast this weekend, which will increase trades. Next week,
upper ridging will flatten east to west over the mid-latitudes
which will allow a weakness to slip toward the area from the
northeast and trades to slacken a bit. Expect rather typical
windward/mauka showers through the period with a bit of
enhancement late Sat into Sun and perhaps next Tue into Wed as a
couples areas of higher moisture pass through (precipitable water
values rising to about 1.50-1.75 inches at most. Ensembles remain
in great agreement through the period on the longwave
pattern/evolution and a blended model solution should suffice.
