...Hurricane Douglas will be moving away from the Hawaiian islands
early this week...

Hurricane Douglas will make a very close pass just to the north of
Kauai early Monday, and should continue to weaken Monday and
Tuesday as it moves westward away from the main Hawaiian Islands.
Western islands may continue to see heavy rainfall, gusty winds,
and dangerous surf through Monday. Refer to the latest guidance
from the Central Pacific Hurricane Center for the most up to date
information related to Douglas. In the wake of the system, a more
typical trade wind pattern is expected to resume as high pressure
builds to the north and maintains through the entire week and next
weekend. Any light passing showers will likely favor windward
facing terrain.
