A weakness aloft will settle just to the west of the region as a
surge of moisture lifts in from the southeast. Precipitable water
values will briefly rise to around 2 inches into Thursday for the
Big Island and into Maui. Locally modest to perhaps heavier rain
is possible. Thereafter, lower PW values between 1.25-1.50 inches
will be common, along with more typical trades as weak ridging
noses in from the northeast. A consensus solution should suffice.
