Tighter pressure gradient from high pressure to the north of
Hawaii will contribute to higher trade winds and potential
increase in shower activity early in the period. Models are then
in good agreement suggesting that this relaxes somewhat by the
middle/later portions of the week and gives way to troughing
northwest of Hawaii. With the decrease in trade winds and pressure
gradient, precipitation coverage should be average to below
average late in the period.
