A preferred composite of seemingly well clustered models and
ensembles shows modest mean island trades for the next week. Below
normal precipitable water values of around 1.25 inches or lower in
this pattern should favor mostly light shower activity. A mean
weakness aloft over the state that may eventually act to pull some
deeper tropical moisture into the islands heading into next
weekend. Rain should overall focus over windward and mountain
areas most of the time, but sea/land breezes that could develop
during periods of lightest trade flow could bring some showers to
other locations.
