A preferred model and ensemble blend shows modest mean island
trades for much of the week. Below normal precipitable water
values should favor mostly light shower activity. Rain may focus
over windward and mountain areas to some degree, but sea/land
breezes to develop during periods of lighter trade flow will also
bring some showers to favored locations. A mean weakness aloft may
eventually act to pull some deeper late week tropical moisture
into the islands. There is also some guidance signal for a gradual
uptick in trade flow next weekend as deeper layered high pressure
builds over and to the north of the state.
