A preferred composite of reasonably well clustered models and
ensembles shows light to moderate island trades today into
Thursday. Below normal precipitable water values should favor
mostly light shower activity, mainly over windward and mountain
areas. Unsettling upper trough development over the state may pull
some deeper tropical moisture into the islands starting Friday.
These factors may increase shower activity through the weekend in
concert with strengthening trade flow as high pressure builds
northeast of the state.
