Upper ridging will remain focused to the north the area,
maintaining modest trades and generally light windward/mauka
showers, for the rest of the week. Deeper moisture will be
confined to near the ITCZ. A trough will dig north of the region
by early next week with a consensus for a progressive system that
would keep the cold front just north of the area. Tropical Storm
Lowell is forecast to move westward this week into next week and
likely turn northwestward to perhaps northward just to the
east/northeast of Hawai'i ahead of the cold front.
