A preferred guidance composite suggests that moderating trade flow
into the weekend may be additionally disrupted next week due to
ample upper trough amplification to the north of the state and the
approach of an associated and strong cold front to the northwest
of the islands. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Lowell and most deep
moisture is forecast to move westward into next week and likely
turn northwestward to perhaps northward to the east/northeast of
Hawaii ahead of the cold front. Overall, this would favor a fairly
limited rainfall pattern for the state over the next week and a
focus transition from windward terrain to areas favored by
land/sea breeze convergence.
