Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 213 AM EST Fri Nov 20 2020 Valid 00Z Sat Nov 21 2020 - 00Z Sat Nov 28 2020 Models and ensembles reasonably agree that high pressure cells bridging to the north then northeast of the state over the next week should support moderate to brisk island trades over the next few days that may revert back to moderate levels next week. The passage of several upper impulses will act upon lingering island moisture to support daily showers, mainly for windward terrain/Mauna areas. There is then a reasonable guidance signal that a more amplified upper trough and lead surface front may bring pooled moisture and enhanced showers/convection increasingly toward the western islands in about a week.
