Model and ensemble solutions remain quite well clustered over the
next week in a pattern with seemingly above normal predictability
despite transitional flow. Upper impulses will act upon lingering
island moisture to support daily showers over the next few days,
mainly for windward terrain/Mauna areas. Brisk island trades
should transition through moderate levels mid-late week. There
also remains a strong guidance signal that amplified upper trough
passage over/north of the state will force a trailing cold front
through the islands from the northwest Friday into Saturday. This
will tap deeper moisture/instability to fuel some enhanced
showers/convection prior to ushering in drier post-frontal flow
for the rest of next weekend into early next week.
