Latest guidance solutions remain quite well clustered over the
next week in a pattern with seemingly above normal predictability
despite transitional flow. Upper impulses will act upon lingering
island moisture to support daily showers over the next couple of
days, mainly for windward terrain/Mauna areas. Deeper moisture
availability has prompted issuance of a Flash Flood Watch over the
eastern islands. Enhanced island trades should transition through
moderate levels mid-late week. There also remains a strong
guidance signal that amplified upper trough passage over/north of
the state will force a trailing cold front through the islands
from the northwest Friday/Saturday. This will tap deeper
moisture/instability to fuel some enhanced showers/convection
prior to ushering in drier post-frontal flow for the rest of next
weekend into early next week in overall lighter trade flow.
