Modest/breezy trades will subside over the next couple of days as
the tail-end of a cold front dissipate over the region. Light
windward/mauka showers are expected. Next week troughing will
remain to the east of the region, keeping the deep moisture and
heavy rain well offshore (east of 150W). By later in the week,
upper ridging may nose in from the west, but lower level moisture
may increase from the east/southeast (precipitable water values
over 1 inch). This may increase the chances for showers by next
Thursday and especially Friday. A blended solution between the
GFS/ECMWF should suffice.
