Upper troughing will remain to the east of the region before
sinking southward and weakening later this week, keeping the deep
moisture and heavy rain well offshore (east of 150W). Upper
ridging will nose in from the west and likely remain into next
weekend. Lower level moisture may increase from the east/southeast
(precipitable water values over 1 inch) but overall mid-level
moisture levels will stay on the drier side. As a result, only
scattered windward/mauka showers are forecast, dictated by
sea/land breezes when trades are weak (late Monday into Tuesday).
A blended solution between the GFS/ECMWF should suffice.
