Upper ridging to the northwest of the region will shift over the
island chain, promoting a rather quiet pattern through next week.
Trades will decrease into the start of next week well ahead of a
cold front north of the area. This front may dip toward the
islands late Tue into Wed but likely wash out even as the upper
high retreats back to the west. With precipitable water values
only near one inch from time to time, light windward and mountain
showers are forecast. A general model blend should suffice with
good agreement overall. The 00Z GEFS mean was just a bit lower
with heights by next Fri than the Canadian/ECMWF ensembles.
