Mainly dry and cool post-frontal air should prevail during the
weekend as the slow-moving cyclone located well north of the state
begins to move away on Sunday.  A developing low pressure wave
associated with the next front will approach from the northwest by
Monday.  This system will combine with returning moisture from the
previous front from the south to support steady rainfall on
Tuesday, with a threat for enhanced showers/thunderstorms for the
Big Island.  The majority of the global models indicate
amplification of the wave as it gradual lifts to the north of
Hawaii although the latest ECMWF tracks the cyclone much closer to
the main islands on Wednesday.  Clearing conditions should set in
later next week as all of the guidance indicate departure of the
cyclone by then.
