Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 301 AM EST Mon Feb 08 2021 Valid 00Z Tue Feb 09 2021 - 00Z Tue Feb 16 2021 A low pressure wave is developing well to the north of Hawaii on a frontal boundary. The front will bring a good chance of showers across the islands on Tuesday. Meanwhile, an axis of rain associated with the previous front should stay east of the Big Island before departing further to the east. Towards the end of the week, there are decent model signals for an upper low to form east of Hawaii and then retrograde toward Hawaii later in the weekend and into next Monday. The associated moisture should bring an increasing chance of showers to drift from east to west into Hawaii by then. Kong
