Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 302 AM EST Wed Feb 10 2021 Valid 00Z Thu Feb 11 2021 - 00Z Thu Feb 18 2021 A cold front has cleared the Hawaiian Islands, bringing showers and isolated thunderstorms further to the east. During the next couple of days, there continues to be very good model agreement for an upper low to form east of Hawaii and then retrograde toward or passing to the south the state later in the weekend and into early next week. The associated moisture should bring an increasing chance of showers from east to west across Hawaii each day next week. Meanwhile, it appears that the next cold front will approach the region from the northwest. The front could reach the islands by next Wednesday and could interact with the moisture associated with the retrograding upper low to produce enhanced rainfall to Hawaii. Kong
