Mostly clear conditions across Hawaii Friday into Saturday will
gradually give way to increasing moisture levels coming in from
the east this weekend. Models continue to show very good agreement
for an upper low to develop east of Hawaii and retrograde towards
or pass south of the islands into early next week. Trade winds
should shift from the East to Southeast with this, bringing an
increasing chance of showers from east to west across Hawaii. The
next cold front is forecast to reach the western islands by
Wednesday, with the guidance showing a signal for some modest
rainfall the end of next week as the front becomes nearly
stationary and interacts with moisture associated with the
retrograding upper low.
