Models continue to show very good agreement for an upper low
retrograding south of Hawaii into early next week. Trade winds
should shift from the East to Southeast with this, bringing an
increasing chance of showers across the state this weekend. The
next cold front is forecast to reach the western islands by
Wednesday of next week, with the guidance showing a signal for
more organized shower chances through the end of the week as the
front becomes nearly stationary and interacts with moisture
associated with the retrograding upper low. Normal trade winds
should return by late next week as high pressure once again builds
north of the state.
