A frontal boundary stationed over the northern islands will focus
moderate to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across mainly Kauai
into Friday. The front should dissipate over the region by this
weekend as high pressure builds to the north, but showers should
linger across much of the state into early next week associated
with a lingering upper low west of Hawaii. Moderate to breezy
trade winds are also expected to maintain across the region for
the next week, which should favor showers in the windward and
mountain areas.
