A col in the subtropical ridge will be in place to close out this
week, with a weak upper trough situated just west of Hawaii.  As
this feature weakens and moves away from the
state, conditions should dry out this weekend as high pressure
builds to the north.  Moderate to breezy trade winds are also
expected to maintain across the region for the upcoming week, with
mainly trade-wind based showers for windward and mountainous
areas.  Another cold front looks to approach the region from the
West by later in the period, but models at this point keep the
heaviest rainfall well west of Hawaii at least through next week.
