Guidance reasonably agrees in showing a pattern of increasing
moisture through the weekend followed by an influx of deeper
tropical moisture next week into the southern islands as trades
tend to veer to the southeast with upper trough reinforcement and
persistence over the state. In this pattern, high pressure
builds/bridges to the north then northeast of the islands over the
next week to support moderate to brisk trade flow. Forecast spread
increases with specifics/focus over time, but overall flow favors
a wetter period with some heavy rainfall potential for the Big
Island as enhanced windward by terrain.
