...Heavy Rainfall Threat continues over the islands...

WFO Honolulu has Flash Flood watches and advisories in effect for
much of the state into Wednesday. Radar and satellite imagery
confirms the active pattern as an upper level disturbance enhances
deep moisture in a pattern with moderate to brisk southeast trades
as supporting high pressure settles to the northeast of the state.

Guidance is now in better agreement and a favored composite shows
amplified trough/low digging to the north/northeast of the state
Thursday through the weekend will act to disrupt trades and force
a rainfall focusing front across the state. Frontal passage should
be followed by a pronounced drying trend into early next week with
renewed/cooling flow in the wake of the trough/well organized low.
