Trade winds should shift more southerly in advance of an
approaching cold front which appears to stall for a period of time
early to mid week across the northern islands. Moisture should get
pulled northward ahead of the front resulting in increased rain
chances across much of Hawaii, with the best chance for any type
of enhanced rainfall near or along the front. Easterly and breezy
trades should return by next weekend while the front gets dragged
westward and weakens as the upper system lifts to the north and
east. The guidance as a whole shows good agreement on the overall
setup for the next week, but continued spread on the details.
Therefore, the best approach would likely be towards a consensus
solution at this time.
